A Continuing Care Retirement Community (often referred to as a CCRC), combines attractive residences with the security of a system of services designed to address the comfort, health, wellness and developing needs of adults as they grow older. CCRCs provide a continuum of care, including independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing care, all at one site.
What type of residences does Springfield Place and J.F. Hawkins offer?
Our community features a variety of choices. Independent living is offered in 1-2 bedroom apartments and spacious 2-bedroom patio homes. Assisted living is offered in our main congregate residential building.
And skilled nursing and dementia care is available through J.F. Hawkins, our recently renovated nursing center.
Do you have age requirements?
Our minimum age for residents is 60 years old.
What types of amenities are available?
Common areas and amenities are located throughout the campus. They include: dining rooms, a chapel, a library, activity rooms, a beauty and barber shop, conference areas, a scenic pond and walking trail and a physician exam room.
What type of fees are paid by residents?
Unlike many other CCRCs, we do not require entrance fees or long-term financial commitments. All residential units are rented on a month-to-month basis. More detailed information on our fee structure can be obtained through our admissions office.
Do you accept Medicare and Medicaid?
Yes, we do accept Medicare and Medicaid.
What services are included in the monthly fee?
Standard services for our independent living units include: weekly housekeeping, 24-hour maintenance services (home, appliance and grounds), emergency medical response, one meal a day (three meals a day are available), scheduled transportation and nightly security guards.
Standard services for our assisted living and nursing units include: housekeeping and personal laundry service, 24-hour supervision, assistance with daily activities (bathing/dressing/grooming) medication monitoring, three meals a day, escorted transportation to medical appointments and maintenance services.
What additional services are available?
Additional services include: beauty/barber shop, dry cleaning services, local cable and telephone service, physical, occupational and speech therapies, podiatry services.
Who determines what level of care is needed?
We have a multi-disciplinary care team who works in conjunction with the family to the determine the appropriate level of care for each specific resident.
